USA and Jamaica were set to meet in the semifinals of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Turkey on Wednesday, but the U.S. won in overtime to beat the Jamaican squad 6-1.
The U.K. defeated the United States, 3-2, on Friday in the quarterfinals, while the Netherlands defeated China, 2-1, in the second round.
The USA won in four games on the first day of competition.
The USA leads the tournament with a 36-1 record.
The U.N. will have a week off to rest players for the FIBC Americas Championship.
