Tesla is looking to hire a few employees to help its sports car competition teams, including one who works as an engineer and the other who works on automotive technology.
According to an email obtained by TechCrunch, the teams work on “an array of car and autonomous technology.”
The email says the teams “provide Tesla’s engineers with unique perspectives and experiences on automotive design, technology, and technology implementation, as well as technology and design direction.”
The teams also “are responsible for developing software for the Tesla cars and the Autopilot system,” the email says.
The teams work “on an array of automotive and autonomous tech, ranging from driver assist systems and vehicle-to-vehicle communication, to AI and machine learning and artificial intelligence, to self-driving systems, to systems for controlling the car.”
The Tesla teams are located in California and Texas.
Tesla is currently working on an updated version of its Autopilots software.
The team is working on a “vehicle-to -vehicle” communication system and a “machine learning engine” to provide driver assistance.
The teams are “responsible for the development of new features for Tesla vehicles,” the team’s email says, adding that the “autonomous vehicles will be used by teams to help them develop new features and processes for Autopill.
They will be able to share with the community and build their own software solutions, enabling them to provide better car and driver experience.”
