A former college football player accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl in Alabama has been arrested on a warrant and charged with sexual assault, authorities said Thursday.
The man, 22-year-old Justin Williams, of Birmingham, Alabama, is being held on $100,000 bail, and a hearing is set for Oct. 19.
The former Alabama linebacker, who is being charged with three counts of rape, one count of sexual battery, one misdemeanor count of voyeurism and one count each of sexual assault and kidnapping, said his attorneys in a statement.
Williams was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a single count of rape and two counts of sexual misconduct.
The man has not yet been identified.
